Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications

Educational Criteria Candidates must have passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University prior to the closing date.
Age Threshold 18 to 25 years as of the cutoff date. Age relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, up to 40 years for departmental candidates.
Skill Standards HC (Min): English typing speed of 35 wpm or Hindi typing speed of 30 wpm on computer. ASI (Steno): Dictation 10 mins @ 80 wpm, Transcription 50 mins in English or 65 mins in Hindi.

Pay Scale & Allowances

ASI (Stenographers) receive basic pay of Rs. 29,200/- (Pay Level-5) with starting gross pay of approx. Rs. 48,000/-. Head Constables (Ministerial) receive basic pay of Rs. 25,500/- (Pay Level-4) with starting gross pay of approx. Rs. 43,000/- per month including DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, and Ration Money Allowance.

Selection Process & Examination Pattern

  1. Stage 1: Physical Standard Test (PST) & Documentation: Height: Male 165 cms, Female 155 cms. Chest (Male): 77 cms unexpanded, 82 cms expanded. Thorough document verification.
  2. Stage 2: Written Examination (CBT): 100 Objective Questions for 100 Marks in 120 minutes. General Intelligence (25 Qs), General Knowledge (25 Qs), Arithmetic (25 Qs), and English/Hindi (25 Qs). No negative marking.
  3. Stage 3: Skill Test & Medical Examination: Typing/Stenography speed test on computer followed by Review Medical Examination.
