Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
| Educational Criteria | Qualified in 10+2 examination with Maths & Physics and at least one of Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from a recognized Board of School Education. |
| Age Criteria | Candidates must be born between 01 Nov 2005 and 30 Apr 2009 (both dates inclusive). Maximum age limit is 21 years. |
| Marital Status | Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible for enrollment. |
Pay Scale & Allowances
Agniveers receive customized monthly package starting at Rs. 30,000/- (1st Year) rising to Rs. 40,000/- (4th Year), with 30% contributed to Corpus Fund matched equally by Govt of India. On release, tax-free Seva Nidhi package of Rs. 11.71 Lakhs is disbursed with non-contributory Life Insurance cover of Rs. 48 Lakhs.
Selection Process & Examination Pattern
- Stage 1: Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET): Computer-based test of 100 marks covering English, Science, Mathematics, and General Awareness.
- Stage 2: Physical Fitness Test (PFT): 1.6 km run (6.5 min male / 8 min female), Squats (20 male / 15 female), Push-ups (15 male) / Bent Knee Sit-ups (10 female).
- Stage 3: Recruitment Medical Examination: Conducted at INS Chilka followed by final induction into naval service.
