Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications

Science Subjects Criteria Passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English, OR 3-year Diploma in Engineering from a recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks.
Other than Science Subjects Passed 10+2 in any stream/subjects with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
Age Window Born between 03 July 2005 and 03 January 2009 (both dates inclusive). Upper age limit on date of enrollment is 21 years.

Pay Scale & Allowances

Agniveervayu airmen receive a customized package of Rs. 30,000/- per month in 1st year with fixed annual increments up to Rs. 40,000/- in 4th year, coupled with risk, hardship, dress, and travel allowances. On discharge, Rs. 11.71 Lakh Seva Nidhi is granted tax-free with skill certification.

Selection Process & Examination Pattern

  1. Phase I: Online Examination: Computer-based test covering English, Physics, Maths (Science) and Reasoning & General Awareness – RAGA (Other than Science).
  2. Phase II: PFT & Adaptability Tests: 1.6 km run in 7 mins, 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, 20 squats followed by Adaptability Tests I & II.
  3. Phase III: Medical Examination: Detailed medical evaluation at Air Force Medical Centre prior to enrollment.

How to Apply Online

  1. Visit agnipathvayu.cdac.in and click on ‘Candidate Login / Register’.
  2. Fill in personal particulars, 10th and 10+2 roll numbers, and select trade stream.
  3. Upload passport photo holding a black chalkboard with name and date of photo taken in chalk.
  4. Upload signature and thumb impression.
  5. Pay examination fee of Rs. 550/- plus GST via online gateway.
  6. Submit and print your registration form.
