Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
| SSA Education | Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university. Typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on computer. |
| Stenographer Education | 12th class pass or equivalent from a recognized board. Dictation: 10 mins @ 80 wpm, Transcription: 50 mins English / 65 mins Hindi. |
| Age Criteria | Between 18 to 27 years as on closing date. 5 years relaxation for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, up to 40 years for employees. |
Pay Scale & Allowances
Social Security Assistants are placed in 7th CPC Level-5 (Basic Pay Rs. 29,200/-). Total monthly emoluments in Class ‘X’ metropolitan cities approximate Rs. 48,000/- per month including Dearness Allowance, HRA, Transport Allowance, and contributory pension scheme under NPS.
Selection Process & Examination Pattern
- Stage I: Computer Based Examination (CBT): 150 questions for 600 marks in 2 hours 30 mins (Reasoning, General Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, General English, Computer Literacy). Each question carries 4 marks with 1/4th negative marking.
- Stage II: Computer Skill Test: Typing speed test for SSA (35 wpm English / 30 wpm Hindi) and stenography transcription test for Stenographer. Qualifying in nature.
