Eligibility Criteria (As on 01/08/2026)
1. Educational Qualifications
- General Bachelor’s Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
- Junior Statistical Officer (JSO): Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level, OR Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
- Statistical Investigator Grade-II: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized University.

Selected candidates receive 7th Central Pay Commission allowances including Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA based on X, Y, Z city tiers), Transport Allowance (TA), and Government CGHS healthcare benefits:

Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The recruitment is conducted across two mandatory phases:
- Tier-I Examination (Qualifying in nature): Computer Based Examination featuring 100 questions (200 marks) across General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. Duration: 60 minutes. Negative marking: 0.50 marks per incorrect response.
- Tier-II Examination (Merit Determination):
- Paper-I (Compulsory for all posts): 2 hours 15 minutes session combining Mathematical Abilities (30 Qs), Reasoning and General Intelligence (30 Qs), English Language (45 Qs), General Awareness (25 Qs), Computer Knowledge Module (20 Qs – Qualifying), and Data Entry Speed Test (DEST typing module).
- Paper-II (For Junior Statistical Officer): Statistics (100 Qs – 200 marks).

- Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) if you are a new applicant by providing Aadhaar/ID, name, and basic details.
- Login using your OTR Registration Number and Password.
