Ministry of Railways Security Notification: The Railway Recruitment Boards and Railway Protection Force (RPF) have announced the recruitment of 4,660 vacancies (Sub-Inspector: 452, Constable: 4,208) in Railway Protection Force and Special Railway Protection Force.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
| Sub-Inspector (Exe.) Qualification | Graduation from a recognized University in any discipline. Age: 20 to 28 years as of July 1, 2026. |
| Constable (Exe.) Qualification | 10th Pass (Matriculation) from a recognized Board. Age: 18 to 28 years as of July 1, 2026 (includes 3-year age relaxation). |
| Physical Measurements | Height: Male UR/OBC 165 cms, SC/ST 160 cms; Female UR/OBC 157 cms, SC/ST 152 cms. Chest (Male): 80 cms unexpanded, 85 cms expanded. |
Pay Scale & Allowances
Sub-Inspectors are placed in Pay Level-6 (Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400) with starting gross remuneration of approx. Rs. 61,000/- per month. Constables are placed in Pay Level-3 (Rs. 21,700 – 69,100) with gross starting pay of approx. Rs. 39,500/- per month including Ration Money Allowance, DA, HRA, and Railway travel privileges.
Selection Process & Examination Pattern
- Stage I: Computer Based Test (CBT): 120 Questions for 120 Marks in 90 minutes. General Awareness (50 Qs), Arithmetic (35 Qs), General Intelligence & Reasoning (35 Qs). Negative marking: 1/3rd.
- Stage II: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & PMT: SI Male: 1600m run in 6m 30s, Long Jump 12 ft, High Jump 3 ft 9 in. Constable Male: 1600m in 5m 45s, Long Jump 14 ft, High Jump 4 ft.
- Stage III: Document Verification & Medical Examination: Conducted by Railway Medical Officers certifying B-1 medical standard.

- Enter academic records and verify personal details.
- Upload recent passport photo with clear background and signature.
- Pay examination fee (Rs. 500/- with Rs. 400/- refundable upon attending CBT; Rs. 250/- fully refundable for SC/ST/Female/ESM).
- Submit and print the confirmation page.
