Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
| Nursing Superintendent | B.Sc Nursing OR General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) 3-year course from a recognized school of nursing registered with Indian Nursing Council. |
| Pharmacist | 10+2 in Science or its equivalent, with 2-year Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) registered under Pharmacy Act. |
| Lab Technician | 12th in Science with Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) from a recognized institution. |
| Age Requirements | 18 to 33/35 years (depending on post) as on July 1, 2026. Age relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, 10 years for PwBD. |
Pay Scale & Allowances
Appointed healthcare professionals receive Central Government 7th CPC pay scale starting from Level-4 (Rs. 25,500) to Level-7 (Rs. 44,900), along with Railway DA, House Rent Allowance, Hospital Patient Care Allowance (HPCA), uniform allowance, and free Railway medical and travel passes.
Selection Process & Examination Pattern
- Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT): 100 MCQs for 90 minutes. 70 marks allocated to Professional/Technical Ability; 10 marks General Awareness; 10 marks General Arithmetic & Reasoning; 10 marks General Science.
- Stage 2: Document Verification: Strict verification of authentic degrees, nursing council registrations, and reservation certificates based on CBT merit.
- Stage 3: Comprehensive Medical Examination: Stringent railway medical fitness test (C-1 or B-1 standard) conducted at Railway Divisional Hospitals.
How to Apply Online
- Visit the centralized RRB online registration portal at
rrbapply.gov.in. - Click on “Create an Account” if not registered on the centralized RRB system.
- Log in with your registered mobile/email and select CEN 05/2026 (Paramedical Categories).
- Choose your desired RRB Zone and specify educational credentials matching the selected post.
- Upload required photograph (35mm x 45mm, plain white background) and digital signature.
- Pay the examination fee (Rs. 500 for Unreserved/OBC with Rs. 400 refundable upon attending CBT; Rs. 250 for SC/ST/Female/PwBD fully refundable).
- Submit the application and save the acknowledgment receipt.
