Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
| Academic Qualification | Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology or Integrated Master’s from a recognized Institute with minimum 65% marks in aggregate (60% for SC/ST). |
| Age Threshold | Upper age limit 27 years as of September 1, 2026 (29 years for candidates having two years post-graduate degree in Engineering/Business Management). Age relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC. |
| Medical Standards | Candidates must meet the physical and medical criteria prescribed by BHEL Medical Board. |
Pay Scale & Allowances
During the one-year training period, Executive Trainees will receive basic pay of Rs. 50,000/- in the pay scale of Rs. 50,000 – 1,60,000. On successful absorption as Engineer, basic pay will be revised to Rs. 60,000/- in the E-2 scale of Rs. 60,000 – 1,80,000. Officers are entitled to Industrial DA, Cafeteria perks (31% of basic), Performance Related Pay, company accommodation, and subsidized medical care. Annual CTC is approx. Rs. 15.8 Lakhs.
Selection Process & Examination Pattern
- Stage 1: GATE 2026 Score Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted based on normalized marks out of 100 in the relevant GATE examination paper.
- Stage 2: Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates attend a comprehensive technical and managerial interview. Merit is determined with 75% weightage for GATE score and 25% for Interview.
