Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
| Educational Criteria | First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in relevant discipline from a recognized University or equivalent, OR First Class Master’s Degree in Science (Physics/Chemistry) with valid GATE score. |
| Age Criteria | Unreserved/EWS: Up to 28 years; OBC (NCL): Up to 31 years; SC/ST: Up to 33 years as on closing date. |
Pay Scale & Allowances
Scientist ‘B’ officers are placed in Pay Level 10 of 7th CPC (starting basic pay of Rs. 56,100/-). Total gross remuneration exceeds Rs. 1,05,000/- monthly in metro centers plus professional update allowance, medical benefits, leased accommodation, and transport perks.
Selection Process & Examination Pattern
- Stage 1: GATE Score Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted in a 1:10 ratio based strictly on normalized GATE marks.
- Stage 2: Personal Interview: Comprehensive personal interview at RAC Delhi assessing domain depth and research aptitude (Minimum qualifying marks: 70% for UR, 60% for reserved categories).
