Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
| Production / QC | 3-year Diploma in Chemical/ Refinery & Petrochemical Engg. OR B.Sc (Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry) from a recognized Institute/University with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD) + 1 year post qualification experience. |
| Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation | 3-year Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation Engg. with minimum 50% marks + 1 year relevant industrial experience in refinery/petrochemical/fertilizer plant. |
| Age Limit (as on 30/09/2026) | 18 to 26 years. Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), and 10 years for PwBD. |
Pay Scale & Allowances
Selected candidates are placed in Grade IV in the pay scale of Rs. 25,000 – 1,05,000/- with industrial DA (IDA), HRA or subsidized refinery township accommodation, medical coverage for self and family, subsidized canteen, productivity linked incentives, and superannuation benefits.
Selection Process & Examination Pattern
- Stage 1: Written Examination: 100 Objective questions (2 Hours): Subject knowledge (75 marks) + Numerical ability and Reasoning (15 marks) + General English (10 marks). Minimum qualifying score: 40% (35% for SC/ST).
- Stage 2: Skill/Proficiency/Physical Test (SPPT): Technical hands-on trade test (Qualifying in nature) conducted at individual refinery units.
- Stage 3: Pre-Employment Medical Examination: Comprehensive medical evaluation according to IOCL medical fitness standards.
