Official Teacher Eligibility Notice: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has formally released the information bulletin and online registration schedule for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET 2026). Candidates qualifying CTET Paper-I (Classes I to V) and Paper-II (Classes VI to VIII) are eligible for teaching recruitment across Central Government schools including KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, and Army Public Schools.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications

Paper-I Qualifications Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or 4-year B.El.Ed.
Paper-II Qualifications Graduation and 2-year D.El.Ed or Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year/2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

Pay Scale & Allowances

Qualified candidates become eligible to apply for 7th CPC Level-6 (Pay Scale Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400) and Level-7 (Pay Scale Rs. 44,900 – 1,42,400) regular teaching appointments in Central and State Government schools.

Selection Process & Examination Pattern

  1. Paper-I Examination (150 MCQs / 150 Marks): Child Development & Pedagogy, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, Language I, Language II.
  2. Paper-II Examination (150 MCQs / 150 Marks): Child Development & Pedagogy, Mathematics & Science OR Social Studies/Social Science, Language I, Language II.
  3. Qualifying Benchmark: Candidates scoring 60% and above (90 out of 150 for General; 82 out of 150 for OBC/SC/ST) are awarded the CTET Certificate.

How to Apply Online

  1. Visit the official CTET portal at ctet.nic.in.
  2. Click on “Apply for CTET 2026” and register with valid contact information.
  3. Complete online application details including examination center preferences.
  4. Upload clear scanned photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format.
  5. Pay the examination fee via Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card.
  6. Download and retain the confirmation page for document verification.
