Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
| Head Constable (Telecom) | 10+2 pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with aggregate 45% marks OR 10th pass with ITI in Electronics/ Electrical/ Computer OR 10th pass with 3-year Diploma in Electronics/ Communication/ IT. Age: 18 to 25 years. |
| Constable (Telecom) | Matriculation (10th pass) from a recognized Board or equivalent. Age: 18 to 23 years. |
| Physical Standards (PST) | Height: Male 170 cms (Relaxation for ST/Hill tribes 162.5/165 cms); Female 157 cms. Chest (Male only): 80 cms unexpanded, 85 cms expanded. |
Pay Scale & Allowances
Head Constable (Telecom) is placed in Level 4 (Rs. 25,500 – 81,100) with starting gross pay around Rs. 42,000/- per month. Constable (Telecom) is placed in Level 3 (Rs. 21,700 – 69,100) with starting gross pay around Rs. 36,000/- plus High Altitude Allowance, Ration Money, and Uniform Allowances.
Selection Process & Examination Pattern
- Phase-I: Physical Efficiency Test (PET/PST): Race (Male: 1.6 km in 7.5 mins; Female: 800m in 4 mins 45 secs), Long Jump, and High Jump (Qualifying in nature) followed by physical measurement.
- Phase-II: Written Examination: 100 Marks OMR/CBT test covering English, Hindi, General Awareness, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude/Physics.
- Phase-III: Verification & Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Original document checking followed by thorough medical evaluation by ITBP medical board.

- Log in and navigate to ‘Apply’ tab for Telecommunication recruitment.
- Upload clear passport photo and signature.
- Pay online fee of Rs. 100/- for HC Telecom (Constable Telecom: Rs. 100/-; SC/ST/Female/Ex-SM exempt).
- Submit and print registration form for future reference.
