Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
| Educational Qualification | A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory. |
| Proficiency in Official Language | Candidate must know how to read, write, and speak the official language of the State/UT for which vacancies are applied. |
| Age Limit (as on 01/08/2026) | Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years. Relaxations: OBC (3 years), SC/ST (5 years), PwBD (10 years). |
Pay Scale & Allowances
Appointed Clerks receive a starting basic pay of Rs. 19,900/- in the pay scale of Rs. 19900-1000/1-20900-1230/3-24590-1490/4-30550-1730/7-42660-3270/1-45930-1990/1-47920. Gross initial monthly salary ranges from Rs. 32,000 to Rs. 36,000/- depending on posting city classification, plus medical benefits and festival advance.
Selection Process & Examination Pattern
- Preliminary Examination: 100 Objective MCQs (English 30, Numerical Ability 35, Reasoning Ability 35) with 20 minutes sectional timing each.
- Main Examination: 190 Objective Questions for 200 Marks (General/Financial Awareness, English, Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Quantitative Aptitude).
- Language Proficiency Test (LPT) & DV: State local language test followed by document verification. There is NO personal interview for clerical cadre.
