Apex Banking Notification: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens for recruitment to 450 Assistant Posts across various regional offices of the Bank. Selection is through nationwide Prelims, Mains, and Language Proficiency Test (LPT).

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
| Educational Qualifications | Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (pass class for SC/ST/PwBD) from a recognized University. Knowledge of word processing on PC is mandatory. |
| Language Criteria | Must be proficient in the official language of the state falling under the recruiting office (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding). |
| Age Limits | 20 to 28 years (Born between 02/09/1998 and 01/09/2006). Standard central age relaxations apply. |
Pay Scale & Allowances
Selected candidates draw a starting basic pay of Rs. 20,700/- per month plus Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc. Gross monthly emoluments are approximately Rs. 47,840/- with dispensary facilities, housing loan concessions, and reimbursement of book grants.
Selection Process & Examination Pattern
- Phase I: Preliminary Exam (Online): 100 Questions, 100 Marks (English 30, Numerical Ability 35, Reasoning 35) with 60 minutes overall duration.
- Phase II: Main Online Examination: 200 Questions, 200 Marks (Reasoning, English, Numerical, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge) in 135 minutes.
- Phase III: Language Proficiency Test (LPT): Conducted in the official local language of the State concerned. Failure in LPT results in disqualification.

rbi.org.inand click on ‘Opportunities@RBI’ at the bottom footer. - Navigate to ‘Current Vacancies’ -> ‘Vacancies’ and select ‘Recruitment for the post of Assistant – 2026’.
- Complete the IBPS registration portal form with accurate biodata.
- Upload signature, left thumb impression, handwritten declaration, and passport photograph.
- Pay examination fee of Rs. 450/- (Rs. 50/- intimation charges for SC/ST/PwBD/EXS).
- Submit and print your finalized application receipt.
