Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
| Educational Qualification | Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Final year students are eligible subject to proof of passing before joining. |
| Age Criteria | Not below 20 years and not above 28 years as of August 1, 2026. Upper age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), 10 years for PwBD candidates. |
| Local Language Proficiency | Candidates must be proficient (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in the specified local language of the applied state circle. |
Pay Scale & Allowances
Starting basic pay is Rs. 19,900/- (Rs. 17,900/- plus two advance increments admissible to graduates). In addition, Junior Associates receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), and Transport Allowance. The total starting emoluments of a Clerical staff member in a Metro city like Mumbai/Delhi will be approximately Rs. 39,000/- per month, with comprehensive medical insurance, leave fare concession, and pension benefits under the New Pension Scheme (NPS).
Selection Process & Examination Pattern
- Phase I: Preliminary Online Examination: 100 Objective marks test (English Language 30 Qs, Numerical Ability 35 Qs, Reasoning Ability 35 Qs) with sectional timing of 20 minutes for each section (total 1 hour). 1/4th negative marking.
- Phase II: Main Online Examination: 190 Questions for 200 Marks (General/Financial Awareness 50 Qs, General English 40 Qs, Quantitative Aptitude 50 Qs, Reasoning & Computer Aptitude 50 Qs) with 2 hours 40 minutes duration.
- Phase III: Language Proficiency Test (LPT): Candidates qualifying the Main exam who have not studied the local language in 10th/12th standard will undergo a qualifying local language test before final appointment.

- Click on ‘Click here for New Registration’ and enter your basic contact details to receive your Registration Number and Password.
- Upload clear digital scans of passport photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and handwritten declaration in prescribed JPEG dimensions.
- Fill in educational qualifications, circle choices, exam centre preferences, and verify all details before payment.
- Pay the online application fee (Rs. 750 for General/EWS/OBC; Nil for SC/ST/PwBD/ESM) through Net Banking, Debit Card, or UPI.
