Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications

Academic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University. Specific qualifications required for technical and specialized posts.
Age Requirements 21 to 40 years as on 1st July of examination year. Relaxation: 5 years for SC, ST, OBC of Uttar Pradesh.
Physical Standards for DSP Male: Height 165 cm, Chest 84 cm (expanded 89 cm). Female: Height 152 cm, Weight 40 kg.

Pay Scale & Allowances

State administrative officers receive Level-10 basic pay of Rs. 56,100 plus state Dearness Allowance, government quarters, official transport entitlement, and pension scheme provisions.

Selection Process & Examination Pattern

  1. Stage 1: Preliminary Exam (Objective): Paper-I (General Studies, 200 marks) determines merit for Mains; Paper-II (CSAT, 200 marks) is qualifying with minimum 33% marks.
  2. Stage 2: Main Examination (Conventional Written): 8 compulsory papers including General Hindi (150 marks), Essay (150 marks), and 6 General Studies papers (200 marks each), total 1,500 marks.
  3. Stage 3: Personality Test (Interview): 100 marks interview evaluating personality, general knowledge, leadership qualities, and mental suitability for state administration.

  2. Visit the UPPSC portal at uppsc.up.nic.in and authenticate using your OTR number.
  3. Verify your pre-filled details and select post preferences.
  4. Upload required domicile and reservation certificates where applicable.
  5. Deposit the examination fee (Rs. 125 for UR/OBC; Rs. 65 for SC/ST; Rs. 25 for PwBD) through SBI e-Challan or net banking.
  6. Review the completed application and print the final registration slip.
